hey hey.. finally i'm back... it has been a loooooooonnnnnnnnngggggg time since I have last blogged.... I'm so sorry for been MIA for such a long time... really have been v v busy these few months... and for the pics as i promised.. so sorry, haven uploaded yet.. coz i'm still waiting for my stupid husband to dl for me as all pics were downloaded at his laptop and wat's in the camera have all been deleted (due to too much pics, nt enough memory so was forced to deleted when we're still in the midst of the trip).. will upload my ROM pics and my Korea trip soon... paiseh lah... hehe

went to Korea for christmas.. have been in my wishlist since 2006... hehe... it was a wonderful n fruitful trip.. we went to jeju, pusan, seoul, yongping etc.... learnt more about korea and their history... i encourgage all of u should go and visit this country.. is really a beautiful and clean country... i shall elaborate more abt this trip while I upload the pics...

Veron's Hens Party - 12 Jan 08 till 13 Jan 08

as she is the 1st of our gang who got marry.. definitely must give her a little surprise and something that she remember, right... so I am given the job to receive her at vivo and bring her for pampering pedi and mani session at Vivo - The liquoar room (if I din spell wrongly, hee) as My cousin is a manger there, so able to get some discounts...hehe.. i myself also did a pedi to pamper my tiring feets esp just back from korea...hehe

next we headed to sentosa for 2nd mission... we met up with meiyan, vreniz & liting there.. whereby veron is given task for a treasure hunt... she needs to search part of the palawan beach for the treasure... well, she can get hints from us, however, tat's at the expense of taking pics with handsome guys.. lol

she's v sporting and eventually she found the treasure and tat is - a sexy lingerie..wooho... wheeeWeee...lol... then we went for dinner at sakae sushi...

then we blind-folded her to next destination... a hotel at bugis... whereby is already decorated with balloons by the girls... then we prepared something happening and wild for the nite.. as when we reach the hotel, is only 8pm... the nite is still young... lol...

the rest is all sensored*** cannot say much... wat i can say is... fruitful and wild nite... drooling.... surlp..... haha

Liting's birthday - 14 Jan 08

celebrated LT's bday in office... we went to Jack's place for lunch and follow by cake cutting session during tea break... and tat's not the end.. after work, we headed to Cityhall to meet up with the gals - Veron, Vreniz, Meiyan & LT's sis - LiFen for dinner at mind's cafe...

we played 2 games while waiting for our fod.. 1) a police bang bang bang game.. rating 3*/5*.. soso lah... i enjoyed more of another game.. 2) each of us takes a card and we hav to keep talking and make the others say the word of the card... whoever say out the word, the card will be pass to her.. at the end of the game, whoever took more cards, is the biggest loser.. haha... overall rating 4*/5*... the winner of the game is Lifen as she is v shy and din talk much so of course, din hav the chance to 'collect' cards from us...haha.. and the biggest loser is Vreniz and Veron.. haha

last but not least - let me wish LT once more - Happy Birthday~! all the best in watever she do.. esp in her study and career...

we went for dinner at millenium walk... is really great to see all gals again, peishan was there too.. I'm really glad to see her as her schedule are v tight and always on the move.. flying around the world... i forgotten wat's the restuarant name.. i think is 'noodle bar' if i'm nt wrong.. is opposite of the conrad hotel... but their food is really nice and affordable too.... they serve mostly is jap and korea cusine...later we went for coffee cum gossip session at starbucks...

Again - happy birthday to Vreniz... hope she can find her Mr right soon... and establish her dream ASAP....

27 Jan 08 - Day event of their wedding

we reached at veron hse at abt 7.30am an start on the preparation works such as making - bittergound juice, washing chili padi, making lime cubes, making sugar syrup for the 'sour, sweet, bitter, spicy' session... and plucking hair from all the jiemei, getting 'kiss' from all the jiemei for the Q&A session...

the groom arrived late.. much later than the planning.. so we have no choice but to eliminate a huge part of the games... upon their arrival, we started off with 'sour, sweet, bitter, spicy' session... so shiok to see their expression.. lol... then next is getting ang baos for entering... then seeing them entering the door through a hula-hoop... of course, is not so easy to let them pass rite.. coz is rather packed at the corridor, so we need to let them in and continue with the games... so what should be the next?

is the Q&A sessions... so what is the forfite then if the groom answer wrongly? is..... yoga pose.. hey hey creative enough? and of course it will be 'easy' pose lah... haha

then next is limbo rock to the living room... but tat's not the end... the groom needs to dance a sexy exotic dance in order to let the bride to open the door... and follow by 'love confession' wereby the groom needs to write down 10 reasons of why he love the bride.. and... this needs to be acknowledged and accepted by the bride.... after this, the bride opened the door... and ta ta... the groom kiss the bride... muackz....

then headed to their house as the groom's mom is waiting down there for the couple... tea ceremony and then headed back to bride's hse for another round of tea ceremony and we are dismissed after that...

28 Jan 08 - Dinner of their wedding

get early time off from office and headed to veron's hotel - Holiday Inn Hotel... we went there to prepare for the nite.. dress up and make-up.. then helped her as each of the jiemei was given a task and I am supposed to help her with the reception...

the whole dinner was great.. the food is v nice too.. and most importantly, i have witnessed the important part of my bubby's life - her beautiful wedding.. and I am really glad for her that she have found her life partner whereby he will be there to support her decisions and love her always...

all the best to the newly wedded couple and hopefully their 'B project' can be completed ASAP...hee...

after long period of planning.. finally the day has come... we woke up early in the morning, abt 7.30am... then to prepare, bathe and pack all necessary stuffs to hotel... Hubby came to pick me up at 9am... Vreniz and Liting were early birds too.. as Vreniz is my MUA and Liting wanna join us for the 'morning session' lol.. we meet them at my hse downstairs and we travelled tog down to Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel...

Upon arrival, we passed our car to valet for parking and took all our barangs out... we then went to check in our day use room... 1718.. is a nice suite.. immed when we get in, we begin with our 'makeup' session... while hubby went to oriole and canary room to make sure the settings are ok.. as in flower arrangement, table arrangement etc etc....

then hubby came up with the hand bouquet... omg.. is totally different with what i have ordered.. i so angry.. i asked hubby to called june florist.. this june florist customer service is so poor... they claimed that coz is the season yet, so some of flowers no stock so they changed it themselves, then they sld called the customer and let us know 1st mah.. alemak.. in the end the ladyboss sent her staff down to our room to amend...

the whole makeup session ended at ard 11.20am then follow up by second session from Joyce and Clara (my hair stylist from Supercut) on my hairdo...

I get Veron and Liting's assistance to help me to take care of the reception area.. coz my hairdo is not finsh yet and Vreniz need to help me with final touch up... when my hairdo has finished, is already 12.20pm... wah piang, i really panick man... then quickly changed into my gown, wear on my accessories and faster go down with Vreniz...

alot of guests have arrived... if u asked my how am i feeling - i will say nervous and stressed man... coz is like stand here - weird weird, stand there also weird weird.. lol.. and today after keep hearing hubby and his family keep mentioned abt kerry (hubby's sis) 's bf, and today is the 1st time i saw him.... Mr Stephen Low.... v fit PE teacher at NJC... a dragonboat rower....

then when all guests arrived, we begin with the solemnization at oriole room... kan cheong man... bt i try not to turn ard and see the guests behind me, coz that will be v v stressed... so i focus and look at our our JP - Mr Tan Hock Hua... the whole ceremony, we sitted down.. he never ask us to stand up at all... and we skipped the last part "you may kiss the bride now" as Hubby is too shy.. lol...

after the ceremony, we hav a super big group photo of 70+ pax... lol.. then all the guests are invited to Canary room for buffet lunch... heard the food is not bad bt me and hubby were too busy that day, never eat much also.. i even miss out my favourite bread pudding...

after buffet lunch, we have some phototaking session with our guests and our guests eventually left the venue...

we then went out of the hotel with kent (our photographer) for couple outdoor shooting... by the time we reached hotel room is already 3.30pm and this room needs to be checked out by 4pm.. so we move all out stuffs to another room 1703 (gift room stay from my cousin - Elaine & Vivian -> Thanks)...

Remembered that day that i mentioned that i got a long post to share with you all.. i decided not to wait.. coz i also dunno when the time is ripe.. really bth her...so i decided to share with u guys now..

it is now 11 Oct 07 2.30am.. perhaps you may wonder why am i still awake.. bt i think i must record my feelings as at now... i am frustrated.. felt been betrayed and totally disappointed... and i mean absolutely disappointed... i really dun understand why there are such pple ard.. perhaps that's life... there are many kind of pples all around you.. and hypocrites are one of them... till today then i know you hated us so much and especially me.. i am like a barrier to you? and why did boss dislike you? why so-call troubles are been blamed on you? so you think you are such poor thing that have to work late? when i'm not in office, you have to shoulder my work? and pple favours me and not you? i think you have v serious attitude prob then..

1) if your boss dislike you, there bounds to be valid reasons.. instead of changing your attitude, you began to think the whole world is against you? whoever ask u questions, 99% ans is always - i dunno...
2) yes, i am on seminar yesterday.. and china colleagues called with regards to that document.. and i did get your assistance in this on 1) date the document 2) pass to ceo to sign.. is this v difficult? do you hav to bad-mouth me and tell the whole world that woah, this alicia not in, then this thing was passed to her 1 mth ago, now i hav to do.. damn shit man...

hey, search yr soul when u bad-mouthing pple.. you were away for 1 mth study leave.. who helped u that time? frankly i think i have already been 'ren jing yi jing' to you...in work, i have always been fair and neutral to you...
a) when u away, who helped u with yr LC? salary stuffs? etc.. and is dating the document and passing the document to CEO such difficult job that u have to complain?
b) when yr hire purchase entries cannot tie, who help u to resolve?
c) closing of accounts schedule normally is on the 12th.. why do i hav to rush by 10th? coz i wanna give u more time to do consol
d) why do i wan to write down yr mistakes? coz i wan u to learn from yr mistakes and prevent it in future...

and what do i get when i need yr assistance? from tat time that boss is on maternity leave.. u always so-called 'offer'.. bt how much did you help? i think u turn down every time.. we're a team and sld be working tog.. instead so, i can rem clearly, u leave me on urge last min.. nevertheless, i learn a lesson - 靠人不如靠自己

3) whenever you hav things for hod/ceo, always ask others to help u to pass to them.. coz u dun wanna face the responsibility..?? u scare of been questioned by them?

4) why do troubles get to you? did u asked yrself - did u do yr work properly? did u check yr work? if yes, y so many careless mistakes?

5) so u think u work till v cham... v late? bt i see u ok wat.. msning everyday... msn is ok.. take leave also ok.. as long as u can finish yr work on time, no prob with that... if u say u work late.. how late is yr late? 6 plus everyday? normally i am the last to leave our tat office eh.. after job scope changed, u so called busier.. bt did u need to work till 9 plus everyday? come back on sat and sun for closing? u did none for this and u have to cheek to say u're v busy and ask for extension... well said.. applauded for u...

and in personal, we did put in good words for u several times in front of boss - believe it or not... if not, i think u may be sacked long long time ago.. and nevertheless, no need to talk abt recent increment... i felt so stupid to help someone like you.. dumb me... wasted our efforts and our sympathy...

hey, come on, despite you like it or nt.. face it... no pain, no gain.. no such thing as enjoying the fruits without giving.. u hav to contribute.. is yr attitude that is going to harm you.. u have to take yr initiative in alot of areas..

to think how u did u revenge on us? nowadays yr lunch khaki is no longer us.. well, is ok with us that u wanna be with yr bf.. do u hav to sound so 'wei qu'? u are the one who abandon us.. nvm.. whenever we are so called alone.. to my surprise, u purposely always say initially u dunno wanna go out or not, then we still worry for yr health, and ask u wanna eat or not.. then u go out happily with yr partners and leave us eating maggi mee.. u hav never offer and ask us to join u.. is ok... nvm or u will say u dunno where that u guys are going for lunch and finding excuse to purposely dun wan to taobao for us? is ok.. we're not going to starve to death like this.. from this, it reflects how childish are u..

when boss is ard, only then u purposely stay to 'show' her.. and u dare to admit this...

and understand that, you hav mention that you dunno how to tahan till dec for aws...

with so much hatred and sour-eyed.. u still can put on a mask to face us everyday? oscar award sld be yrs then.. i really dun know hw to act in front of u like this.. if i dunno this incident, i may be continue to act neutral, after i knew all these incidents, too bad.. dun blame me for giving u cold shoulders.. coz u are not deserve as been a pal.. most impt i cannot be such a hypocrite as you to face u everyday with a mask... yi xiao ren zhi xin, du jun zhi zi fu.. u jolly well know what u have did to hurt us...

well, wat to conclude from this.. jealousy? red-eyed of others achievement? i try to convince myself that i must be good.. ahbo others won't think that i'm a threat to her..lol

i felt totally betrayed...好心被狗吃... anyway i have been 行的正，坐得直 .. what u wanna bad-mouthed, go ahead.. as long as i know what i'm doing right.. i will continue to do so.. for those who listen to her story and think that 3 vs 1 definitely the 1 is poor thing - nothing to say.. bt just wanna say.. to be fair, u sld listen to both side of story then...凡事都有两面，千万不要不分青红皂白愚昧的听偏面之词。。。 of course, sometimes i will feel like 哑巴吃黄莲，有理说不清。。。 but what to do, mouth is theirs, just let them say till they 'song' lor..

we met up with him on last thursday to view more of his portfolio.. not bad.. and our package is as follows:

considered as expensive? i really dunno.. haha coz so far all the packages that I have checked out is ard this range or 4 digit sum (v extreme ends)... well, i guess is a simple and basic package bah... veron got a greater bargain from her photographer.. for full day photography also 350 bucks.. bt hers is without the printouts.. however, her photographer is not available on 11 nov 07.. so nvm lor..

hopefully our pics turn out nice and we can consider do a collage collection of 8R 18 pages hand-made album for another 300 bucks top-up..

hubby come to fetch us in the morning.. we headed to our new hse to let my family see my future hm.. hubby, my bro and my sis even went to the gym to hav a short workout! alemak.. the sales guy still ask us - how's the gym... aiyo, so paiseh...

we even went into the ktv room.. the sound system is fantastic.. is our 1st time to go in there also.. coz the is always locked previously when we visited there..

then after viewing all the show flats, we left there for makan...initially we plan to bring my family to marina square the 'Imperial kitchen' to makan.. i like their xiao long bao and lang mee...

bt we change to juju restaurant last min as my mom choose to go for this instead...

juju restaurant is related to the tao's restaurant.. it is located at paradiz centre there.. the food that they serve is actually Japanese style steamboat... they called it Hokkaido hot pot... bt the way they presented the food makes it so yummy.. and indeed, not bad.. this is the 2nd time that i have visited there..

After makan, my mom, sis & bro went for shopping at bugis junction, whereas me and hubby went to suntec to find our invitation cards for our guests.. we found one that is v nice. however, only left with 1 packet of 10 pieces only.. tat's not enough..

so we headed to orchard instead.. we managed to some v nice designs at taka.. however, again the one we like best is left with 1 packet of 10 pieces also.. so we choose another design instead.. finally, we bought the cards for our guests liao...

we then headed to daniel yam again, as i dunno how to tied the ribbon of my gown.. haha.. so go there and get the sales gal to teach me.. then we went to far east to collect hubby's pants.. done~! now is all ready for dry clean...

Happy Birthday to Mummy~!

last saturday is my mom's birthday... however, our celebration with her is on next day-21st Oct instead of 20th Oct 2007...

bt we still bought a cake for her and sang 3 version of birthday songs for her - english, chinese & cantonese before the clock clicks to 21st oct 2007.. =) coz my mom is working on saturday, thus, by the time she reached home is already 11.30pm...

so wat did i have done during the afternoon then?

we went to june florist... to select on the reception flowers, signing table flowers, slash colours, centrepiece etc.. all these are already included in the package.. basically we are just choosing on the designs and type of flowers that we wan.. as shown in previous blog entry, my table setting is a translucent bronze flower one, so i have chosen chamapgne and white roses to go with it..

on top of this package, we have add on flowers to the signing tables chairs, whereby the bride, groom and witnesses are sitting.. and also, we add additional slash onto the chairs along the march in trail... we also added in 2 flowers stand behind the signing tables... initially i dun wish to add in the flowers stand, bt dear was saying since we are getting professional photographer, better to have some dropback for our photos also.. which is true also lah..

after choosing all the decor, we went on to choose my hand bouquet.. as they are able to send it to my hotel straight, that will save us alot of trouble and time to go down to collect instead..

and i have choosen the below design:

i think this matches my gown cols of both ivory and black.. haha.. is v unique.. it consists of the wire design... is a love at 1st sight of this design to me...

total amount spent at june florist ---> 250 bucks.. florist really knows how to earn money man..

next we headed to chinatown - chinatown centre... to check on our holiday trip.. we went to ctc, chan brothers then to chinatown complex - > sa tours... we wanna go for the 8D korea trip.. we compared the price and compared the schedule that each agency provided..

in the end, we have confirmed our trip with SA tour.. although in terms of price, they are the steepest among all, bt the schedule that it offers is the best and suits to our requirement the most.. each pax cost 1788+288 =2,076 bucks... anyone wanna join us? we welcome that.. we can go together and hav fun... our journey will started from 20 Dec 2007 to 27 Dec 2007.. oh yes, we are celebrating our white christmas there... yeah.. hurray.. i am so so so so excited...

after we settled with SA, we went for foolt reflexology and shoulder massage at one of the stalls at chinatown complex.. 45mins for only 18 bucks.. shiok man... i love it... will definitely go back again.. maybe will try another stall as there are so many choices there... is a cheaper source than kenzo.. haha..

went back to his hse to rest after shopping as tonite we are meeting up the gers at DlbO... is been ages since I last went to there.. prob ard 5 yrs? i rem the last time is when i'm still in my poly days.. oh dear...

after resting, we headed to DlbO to meet up with Jujin and Liting 1st.. Meiyan and Raymond joined us soon after we reached and Veron they all joined us after Eugene's company dinner ended... is great to see them all.. a good gathering indeed.. have fun, dancing, phototaking and drinking too... the songs theme is Retro that nite.. reminds me of our Zouk days.. lol

Happy Birthday to Hubby~!

yeah is 11.10.07 - my hubby's birthday... i took leave today to celebrate with him.. but today also is my dad's 祭日 in chinese calender...

early in the morning.. he came to my place to pick me up.. coz he said got to go to some hotel.. i was still unable to react.. i dun get it why we hav to go to hotel so early.. we headed to marina square.... then went to marina mandarine hotel for a function... is actually organise by Canon.. celebrating their 70 yrs anniversary... with those products demonstration.. then i asked my dear why he wanna bring me here.. he said coz the sales guy told him got attrative door gift.. something like a printer for each person.. when we got there, no door gift eh.. then quite boring also... then we 2 ran away from the front door.. oh yes front door.. stupid rite... sld run from back door... bt we dunno where's back door ya.. lol

in the end, we hav a big time lap to 6pm - our appointment with his family for dinner...

so we went for breakfast cum lunch at Mcdonald... after that, we went for shopping.. hubby went to Zara to try a suit.. woah v handsome sia.. bt cost 429 bucks.. so we decided to consider 1st.. coz previously he tried on G2000 black label and Guy Laroche also.. bt we forgotten how the pattern looks like.. so we decided went back to orchard to try on the other 2 suits.. in addition, we need to go a pair of leather shoes for him also..

so we went to orchard, tried suits, shoes, shirt etc.... and the final decision was------> to get the Zara suit... the shoes, manage to find 1 design that he likes bt dun hav his size.. so need to go other branch to get.. however, still need to go source for his shirt and belt..

at last.. after trying here and there, is finally near to 6pm... so we went to pick up his mom who is working at Orchard too and headed to Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel for our buffet dinner... his brother, bro's gf - summer and his sis joined us later.. actually today is also hubby's bro-Trevor's birthday.. oh yea.. both brothers are born on the same day of different yr..

6 of us went for dinner and pays for 1 person pricing of only 40+ bucks.. haha.. good deal yeah... coz 4 of us is foc as we booked our rom package here, Sheena is kind enough to sign 4 of us in.. the the remaining 2, there is uob promotion going on, 1 for 1 promotion.. so only needs to pay for 1 person...

the food is great... yummy...

Seminar - FRS Updates @ 09/10/07

went for seminar on above topic yesterday with my boss.. is a whole day seminar from 9-5pm.. i think for this entry, only those who are finance pple then will understand..

my company paid for this course for me.. abt 200+ bucks for this 1 day seminar by Mr Ng Eng Juan (Hopefully i din spell wrongly) who is a famous author of the Master Tax Guide and also a professor at NTU... this course contributes 7 CPE hours..

after this seminar, i really hav phobia in what i'm doing.. and i mean it.. standards are getting more and more difficult to understand, more difficult to apply, more disclosures to be made... then after so much trouble, some of the standards are inconsistent with one another.. really headache...

what did the seminar covered? there are several new frs been issued as FRS 101 to FRS 112.. we go through some of them and also those amendments to existing FRSs... some examples of this new FRS/amendments:
FRS 23 - Borrowing costs - now need to be capitalised.. no longer hav a option to choose to expense or capitalise.. wef - i forgotten hee, i think is 1/1/2009
FRS 41 - Invt properties - the definition is been redefined... and need be captured at F/V and subject to impairment test every b/s date
FRS 102 - share based payments are now made to be v complicated.. depending is whether equity settled or cash settled... and have to be accounted for differently... and for those treasury shares, can be tax-deductible, thus need to be accounted for deferred tax also...
FRS 107 (forgotten is it 107) - Financial guarantees contracts - wef 1/1/2009 have to account in parent's book for guarantee liability if parent is acting as a guarantor...
and many many more changes...

P/L, B/S and etc all have changes to be made with the new FRS that are coming up... really alot alot of things need to consider now...

is really tough to be accountant now... *faint*... fair value here and there.. discounted cashflow to be calculated everywhere... really v v v v v tough...

i am really considering to change to a new profession/career.. lol... i even told my boss i wanna resign before 2009... bt my mom keeps tell me, must hav confidence in myself, afterall this is the profession that i have chosen myself...

anyway, if any of you are interested in the new updates.. i can lend you my notes for photocopy.. is about 3/4 of the arch file thickness... next tue having another seminar on consolidation accounts... (veron, i think i meet you after this class? then i can pass you both notes for photocopying? then we arrange for another meetup for discussion?)

really benefits alot.. i think is a MUST attend course annually for all finance pple... the vol of the changes are scary!

just to let you all know what.. conservative approach is not longer valid in accounting anymore... now must be neutral approach.. *_*

Our Performance

i realise that i have left out something after reading veron's blog... and that is abt our performance.. oh dear me.. too long never blog, abit retarded in blogging..

for those of you can recall back, when we started our exotic dance 2, we were told to do a performance.. we thought is compulsory.. bt is actually not.. well, since we have already planned our own choreography and chosen our performing song - Cassie - Me & You (my blog default song now), we shall go ahead performing despite the fact that we are the one and only group that performs.. we are definitely not the best students in the class, bt we definitely has the passion in this.. =)

our total practise hours is only about 4 hours and we have come out with our own choreography... we are really proud of our dance... on the 17 Sept 2007, is our actual performance... we were so nervous man.. actually we did film down the video and i wanna post to blog, bt vreniz say is not perfect (see, i say she is the most perfectionist...lol) so she suggest that we practise somemore and video down to share with others... haha.. actually is true lah.. our timing is abit off, each of us timing is different.. due to lack of time to practise, we still making changes on last 30sec before we perform... and i forgotten some steps... ;p

so, please wait for our final production of our performance video to be out k.. haha

look forward to next dance session... me and vreniz still thinking of joining salsa class or continue with exotic dance 3 class... actually we wanna join a salsa class but the timing is too rush for vreniz.. and our dance instructor - Sophia is not following jitterbugs (thebodytalks will be merging with jitterbugs).. she intend to dance as freelance.. so we were thinking to join her class in Oct for exotic dance 3 1st.. and when veron finish her exam in dec, we will go learn with her again... as different exotic class have different dance routine using different accessories to dance such as - feathers, chairs, hat etc...

well... i know i haven been blogging for vvvvvv long... well, please forgive me.. i'm really super busy over these few weeks... just a quick recap of what happened over last few weeks in my life... got major and minor events that occurred....

nothing special but work and work.. as I am going on leave during the next 3 days.. gonna rush out some of the consol reports for my colleague to continue on... so worked late that nite... reach hm - exhausted...

and another thing that happened was... my hubby's grandfather passed away that morning.. really heartpain.. well afterall i do understand that this is part and parcel of life, bt still feel v sad..

12 - 14 Sept 07

went for first 3 days of the 5 days CPA pre-entry course.. quite stress actually.. as now the passing criteria is v different from the past.. initially, as long as you attend the course, you can apply for CPA with relevant yrs of experience.. then changed to attend course + take test despite fail or pass also can apply with exp, then changed to overall passing of 50% with exp and NOW - must pass every module with exp, then you can apply...

PS: For those who are taking ACCA, studying NTU, NUS etc on Accountancy, remember to go attend for the course ASAP after you have passed your exams.. as the criteria of passing and topics covered are getter tougher and tougher.. the earlier u sit for the test, the higher chance of passing..

although is just 125 multiple qns on 5 modules - 1) professional ethics 2) FRS 3) Auditing 4) legal requirement 5) Taxation... i can tell you - is not that simple afterall...

in case some of you dun get it - CPA stands for Certified Public Accountant and FRS stands for Financial Reporting Standards.. These are the usual accounting terms...

attending the class is not easy matter.. you hav to talk with others.. chit chatting with them abt yourself (yr experience), your company, exchanging namecard and soliciting business if possible.. and cannot sound too stupid of yrself too.. means hav to keep up with all current affairs, business developments... 1 words to describe this - STRESS...

and there are alot of things that are expected from a CPA.. well, afterall tat's y this is worth my effort of striving hard to get this...

went to the wake of my hubby's late's grandfather on these both days... my heart really feel bitterly-sour... he really cares abt us alot and hope to attend our rom on this nov.. bt really sad that he cannot attend.. he even prepare a rom gift for us and passed to his uncle to pass to us as he scare that he may not be able to make it... really sad that he left us... Rest in peace, ah gong..

went for facial in the morning.. then meet hubby to Taka to try on some suits... we realised that the men's dept is under renovation when we reached there.. is only half of the dept is open.. and there is only 1 brand of suit is available which costs abt 450 bucks for the whole suit... i forgotten the brand but is a Paris brand and i remember seeing it around... is abit off our budget.. bt is really nice.. esp on 1 navy strip suits... v nice indeed.. so we kiv 1st.. will return on 6 Oct where the other half of the mens dept opens and will try on more suits..

then we went to Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel to meet our Event Coordinator - Sheena Tan... she 's really a nice lady.. afterall, my hubby bargained alot with her and she is still trying v hard to comprise.. haha... we confirmed on the menu, placed deposit and signed off the contract.. most prob we will be increasing our guest list from 50 to 70... in order to do so, our buffet line may have to put outside of the rooms.. as it wil be too cramp to squeeze in everything..

meaning - our rom solemnization ceremony will be held at 1 room with theatre sittings and the circle tables will be set up on another room beside that.. and the buffet line will be outside.. bt these rooms are all at the corners.. means the whole section is reserved for our private function.. :)

Sheena let us choose on the table setting.. after choosing.. we have chosen (should say I have chosen, as hubby just say - anything lah) this one -

is not really clear in the pic.. bt is a bronze translucent flower setting.. it will be lay over ivory table cloth.. as most likely we will be upgrading the florist package with June Florist where they are the ones engaged by Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel to provide the centrepiece... also depends on how much it costs.. we may add slash to theatre sittings with flower on it..

the next thing is to meet the florist... gonna make an appointment with them to choose colours of flowers to match with the setting also.. :)

hav a discussion with my dear.. we agree to stick with11 nov 07 for our rom.. so we went to look for my rom gown.. din really hav a hard time finding actually.. i found mine with minimal effort.. =)

I have ever tried a dress from IS previously as a back-up.. means if i really cannot find a dress that i like, i will get this one then..we also ever went to Veron's MUA's place where she sells some gowns as well previously... her gowns are nice bt dear prefer daniel yam than these options...

so yesterday we make a special trip to Wisma just for Daniel Yam... tried several dress.. all short ones... erm... some are ok lah.. v v simple.. while some are too complicated.. then dear ask me to try on a long one instead.. I have chosen a newest design to try.. guess what?? i love this design~~! i also like this design in short bubble style also but there are no available stocks.. hav to wait for 3 - 6months for the short one.. for the long one also not much stock, the piece that I'm trying is the last piece .. so now is a prob.. last piece for my size.. to get or not to get?? if dun wan, scali cannot find another dress that i like and this one out of stock - how how?

so our decision was - get it and settled for my gown prob... cost - 170 bucks for a full dutch satin gown.. i simply love it!!! Is ivory with black strip...

For myself, i still need to get a pair of white heels and accessories to go with my dress.. think chomel is a cool option for getting my accessories.. apart from this, any suggestion from u guys?? for makeup and hair wise, think i will hav the 1st trial makeup with my MUA - Ms Vreniz Neo 1st then we shall go for shopping for hair accessories and makeup and my side will be done..

For dear, his case is more jialat... coz we plan to get a suit with just a shirt inside.. he tried G2000, but the size doesn't fit him at all.. we went to see calvin's klein (just happen to walk past) and the coat cost 1000+bucks over.. siao... anyway we will go Taka level 3 where there sells alot of suit to see if that's any to suit him, if not he will need to tailor make one.. any recommendation on tailor for men's suit??

I am very satisfied and contented of what was offered to me.. and i'm glad that they din disappoint me.. haha.. i will work harder.. definitely.. here i come my BG, financial policy etc etc.. lol

fall sick from last thursday till now.. flu, cough, sore throat etc etc.. haiz hopefully i can recover faster... hopefully today i can manage to rush back to my family clinic to buy some med before they closed at 7pm..

last sat morning, i managed to pull myself out of the bed at 8am+.. coz i am meeting the gals (veron & vreniz) for our dance practices.. we have finally decided on our song to perform - Cassie: Me & You.. nice song.. and we are so power leh.. managed to plan the steps almost entirely.. haha

i meet up with my hubby later and we went to meet our JP for our solemnization... He is Mr Tan Hock Hua, who is introduced my meiling.. we went to his hse to meet him for signing of the consent form for been our JP.. tell u guys something.. his hse is v big sia.. damn big.. wealthy man... anyway the meetup with him was a pleasant one.. :)

quite some time ago, when i read up Shuyun's blog, she say she bought some mini jigsaw puzzle from mini-toons which are v cheap.. and yesterday my boss wanna to buy jigsaw puzzles as gifts for her fren's son.. so we headed to CP during lunch time..

she chosen her gifts and i also managed to get 2 jigsaw puzzles for myself.. (4 for $10 only.. super cheap) I am v poor in jigsaw puzzles.. i think i had never completed a 500 pieces puzzle before in my life.. lol.. the last time i did also is a failed mission and i think in the end my mom throw away my uncompleted puzzles as they are been 'abandoned' by me for v long.. lol

i recalled back - someway last yr. a guy called my hse no and he claimed that he's calling from a Hotel (I can't recall what is the name of the hotel).. he's looking for a malay girl by the name of Victoria.. and i said that are no such person..

he: u sure? so u hav any sister? and yr frds etc by this name?
me: no, i'm v sure.. what's the matter..
he: to tell u frankly.. this is a v serious case.. coz this gal has left yr hse no with our hotel records.. then she slept with one of our client and she has stolen his wallet and passport.. now is referred to police case
me: we really don't know such gal.. perhaps this gal lives in this neighbourhood and just anyhow give a no..you can go ahead to report to police.. we have no prob with that.. if the police require our assistance, well go ahead..
he: u sure? could it be yr sis's frds?
me: i'm v sure...
he: oh gosh.. just to let u know if u know anything just tell us.. coz i suspects this gals are from a agency.. and i believe most of them are students and just for the flirt and fun and money, they are into this line.. and their family dun know abt it at all.. they may sneak out from their sch just because she wanna been fuck up by a guy.. ops i'm sorry bt i think fuck is the most appropriate word to use... they just love to be bang and enjoy the thrill etc etc etc.. (he simply can't stop when start on this topic.. and he goess all the way.... describing.... however, he seems more like a victim to me)

and his voice is so FAMILIAR~! and i am damn suay man, happened to ans this call again...

he: is this a residential?
me: ya.. are u going to tell me a gal has left this no at yr hotel's record... (before i could finish, he put down the phone)

i just wanna to tell him - we have referred the case to police to end this stupid conversation although the fact is we never contacted police bt somehow i just feel v strange and sickening of this whole incident..

bt somehow, he seems to be 'guilty' and just slam down the phone and never call back.. and i start to recall... perhaps all this is just a act of a stupid PERVERT.. i guess he's enjoying saying those fuck and bang stuffs to a lady and he feel shiok abt it.. some guys are just so desperate.. and if i dun rem wrongly, i think is a same voice bt from different hotel name..

he spoke v good angmoh.. bt even a professional like lawyer can also be a pervert.. so it is not surprise that there are some pple who hav this habit of randomly called a no and start to come out with this stupid story and enjoying saying those words to a lady.. is simply a v stupid plank..

and i think i'm super 'lucky' to be chosen by him lor.. yucks.. the thought of it makes me puke...
anyway, if any of you girls receive such weird calls, PLEASE DUN ENTERTAIN~! just state the fact - ask him go make a police report... if it is that serious, that stupid client who kanna his wallet and passport stolen will report to police...

Exotic Dance Techniques Level 2

yuppie, yesterday me and my buddies went for our EDT2 @ thebodytalks dance studio at Outrum there... Liting was unable to join us coz of her backache...

This time round our instructor is Sophia and we just get to know that our previous instructor - Natalie has injured her spine and she's not teaching currently... that's bad man, hopefully she can recover soon..

Sophia has much more expectations from level 2 students.. woah stress man.. and we are been informed that at the last session, we are supposed to present a Graduating performance.. we need to go find songs of our own and come out with our own choreography.. sounds challenging and fun man... we can do individually or in group..

we gonna work harder towards it.. and 1st thing to do - go and check out dance studio rental price as we need to book a studio for practising..

the instructor also taught us 2 new warm up exercises - worms - Big worm & Small worm.. both is like doing a bodywave towards the floor.. omg, this is damn difficult.. my back is aching now..

gonna practise more at hm over this weekend... cheers~! enjoyed the session.. =)

Movie Review - Secret (不能说的密秘）

coz of the title and i am v v curious abt the secret.. i was thinking to wait for the vcd to be out in market, and rent it to watch.. however, last week, i've been surfing net and read through several reviews on this movie. on average, this movie is rated 8/10.. and everyone says that this movie has a great plot.. and this makes me wanna watch this movie even more..

we went to watch this movie on yesterday at Vivo..

As per GV synopsis:

SECRET is Jay Chous directorial debut that deals with the memory of first love.

This is the first day Lun is admitted to Tamkang Secondary School. When he walks around the campus, he meets Yu (Kwai Lun-Mei) in the music room who is playing a mysterious piano solo. The two become intimate friends and spend a lot of time together. Whats the melody you played the first day we met? asked Lun, Thats my secret. Yu whispered in his ear.

One day, Lun asks Yu to meet him at the music room. But accidentally, they did not meet and Yu never shows up again. It seems that Yu has disappeared from this world. Later, Lun gets a photo of Yu, but what surprises him is that Yu is standing next to his father, Chiu (Anthony Wong) on the photo! The secrets behind Yu and the mysterious melody are going to be unlashed...

my verdict: 8/10 too~! this is a beautiful love story that travels beyond time.. i love this movie plot most... fantastic.. can't believe that our Jay is so talented and come out with this storyline..

there are some scenes that are comical and i have a good laugh also.. and you can share the sweet moments of the young couple.. and towards the end, you will feel heartache of what 'xiao yu' has gone through... moreover you are able to enjoy beautiful piano melody throughout the movie.. (i even got the urge to go and learn piano - well, i think i'm too old for this).. well done~!

yuppie.. yesterday is Singpore's 42nd Birthday.. to think thro, singapore has gained its independence since1965 after world war II... we must really thanks to our elders where helped Singapore to grow to such a wonderful place.. and i feel i'm v fortunate to be born in today's Singapore times..

although there seems to be alot of pple anti-singapore govt, bt i believe alot will be like me which really feels that Singapore is our homeland.. anyway, i really counts myself lucky to hav/own alot of things whereby alot of others may not have.. we must learn to be 知足常乐 =)

how i celebrated our nation's birthday??? well, is really not easy to get a NDP07 ticket... so, forget it, i went shopping and movie with my hubby.. :)

we went to cineleisure for our movie.. hubby din let me know what movie that he has bought.. bt i have told him that i wanna watch either Rush Hour 3 or Secret.. so i thought he will buy either one of this show... then we entered to the cinema without knowing what movie i'm watching.. i kept asking him and his ans was - u see for yrself lor.. alemak..

then i saw alot of auntie and uncles came in, then i say must be 881 liao lah.. of so much movies, this is the least i feel like watching.. perhaps is from the last local production side effect - the 'Men in White'... initially i was skeptical abt watching this show.. bt after watching i realise that i am terribly wrong.. this movie has a great storyline.. and the story really flows thro.. and is actually a realistic, meaningful and touching drama.. i have understand something from this movie - there's always the other side of yourself which is weaker.. despite that how strong, how charming, how glamorous you are on stage, that is for sure another side of you which is weak.. and either on emotional or health wise.. esp health wise.. something that we really cannot control.. is really depends on fate...在光鲜亮丽的背后，是你我都不知的软弱的一面。。。

ps: the movie is mostly in hokkien.. bt there are subtitles in chinese and angmoh below.. and this is the 1st time i realise that hokkien songs can be so touching also..

They are The Papaya Sisters, two of the showiest performers on the circuit because the "song stage" with all its pomp and pageantry is a respite from the emptiness and dreariness of their own lives.

881 will mark yet another breakthrough for Royston, whose first feature film 15 is a visceral and gritty look at teenage delinquents. His second film 4.30 - about a latchkey kid and his Korean tenant - surprised audiences with its pared down, meditative and almost lyrical storytelling.

This new film is a musical, with glitzy costumes and lavish choreography. The actors often break into song to express their emotions. All the numbers in the movie are from the treasure trove of the late Chen Jin lang, a Singapore getai songwriting legend who died in August 2006. A cross between Dancer In the Dark and Moulin Rouge, 881 will also feature documentary-style (ie "live") footage which captures the fever and excitement of actual getai performances.

Btw, i really dunno the importance of '715' cast in this show.. if anyone of you all know, please enlighten me.. lol

after the movie, we went shopping at suntec.. luckily the road is not closed yet.. i though the shopping mall will be flooded.. bt to my surprise.. there aren't much pple there and the carpark got lots of vacant lots.. i managed to bought a pair of Reebok sport shoes from royal sporting house...

after that, we went back to hubby's hse to watch the NDP07.. i feel this yr NDP is full of surprises and is really great to see all 3 海陆空 performance.. thumbs up for this yr performance..

Not sure any of you have ever tried the food from this restaurant yet.. this is their 2nd branch.. then 1st branch is at wheelock place.. me went with my colleagues this afternoon for farewell lunch for Stefanie.. oh yes, our dear Stef is leaving us.. as a colleague, our hearts really aches as we're losing such a great coll, however, as a frd, i think i will feel v happy for her to move on as her boss dun even know hw to appreciate her efforts... anyway - all the best to her~!

back to this restaurant.. nice ambiance with great foods.. i've tried their rainbow sushi roll.. is actually Mango and Avocado sushi roll.. I myself prefer the avocado one as the taste is more unique and not so sweet as the mango one.. i ordered the terriyaki chicken and California roll as the main course for myself.. you sld try this.. is so yummy... the chicken is grilled till just nice.. v tender.. (saliva dripping again~!) the California rolls were great.. with miso soup, pickles and fruits as a whole set.. and this whole set is only for the price of ard $15 bucks.. worth it rite..

my boss is a regular customer.. she said the menu for lunch and dinner is different.. lunch is more worthwhile than dinner.. i will rate 8/10 for this restaurant.. i will definitely go there again..

Saturday is a leisure day for me.. my hubby cannot accompany me as he was attending his sec sch frd's wedding.. so i got my own programs instead..

early in the morning, i have woke up for my K-Lunch session at CCK with my sis and Stefanie.. it was so fun.. we were singing hard and trying to reach the highest note.. and the staffs given us a huge room for only 3 of us.. i think the room can occupy at least 7 pax.. Stefanie left earlier as she's meeting her ex-colleague while me and my sis continues our singing session..

after singing, we went to meet my mom.. my sis and me are on different routes as she is meeting her 'BOY'friend while me and my mom were heading to orchard for shopping.. shop and shop.. woah got alot of good deals.. i bought a pretti polo tee, a pair of heels for my exotic dance etc.. the best deal for the day was a Daniel Yam gown for less than 50 bucks... omg... is another great steal.. i simply love the gown~!~!

as me and my buddies promised each other, whoever is marrying, the sisters must wear a gown.. one of my buddies - Ms Veron Tan's wedding is coming.. on January 2008 (sounds abit far rite..hee) so i decided to get one 1st since i got such a great deal..

the gown got alot of different styles as it can be 'wrapped' differently... i'm so impressed by the lady from Daniel Yam, she can tie alot of great patterns.. bt i managed to learn while she's doing for me.. wahahaha.. *wink*

yesterday went to CP metro to collect my stickers for exchange of items.. as I was a member of Wacoal Lingerie.. you are entitle to 1 sticker for every 50 bucks you spend.. and i managed to complete 1 card of 8 stickers within a month.. slurp.. (i sharing this card with my boss-she helped to contributed 4 stickers for me)..

with every 8 stickers, i am entitled to exchange for a loyalty gift which is a luggage bag.. the design is simple.. there are 2 colour for selection, one of them is blue & white while the other is black & red.. i choose the black & red one.. ideal for short trip.. the quality also not too bad.. anyway is free.. dun 'hiam' so much lah...

then there are alot great bargains of Wacoal Lingerie there... wahahaha.. i bought 4 briefs from wacoal for only 24 bucks.. omg is a steal.. still thinking to go back and get more.. haha.. those of you who like lingerie can go there hav a look if free.. i feel worth the buy.. so happy :)

Movie Movie Movie Weekend

ok let's talked abt last weekend...all i can say was MOVIE movie weekend for me... On friday nite... i went to borrow 3 VCDs from VideoEzy.. and watched the scariest among those that I have borrowed on Friday nite - The House of Wax.. a thriller/violence movie.. v nice indeed.. bt some scenes are disgusting..

Saturday rot at home as i was lazy to go out.. and I watched the other 2 movie - Nite at the Museum and My Super Ex-Girlfriend.. both are comedy.. i personally prefer nite at the Museum... v funny.. esp the moneky.. and My super Ex-Girlfriend was really a v crazy show.. favourite scene is where the G-Girl is super jealous and throw the shark towards her ex-Boyfriend and his new GF (sorry forgotten their names in the show)..

Sunday, went to vivo fro movie.. haha.. we went to watch Invisible Target starring Nicholas Tse, Jaycee Chan, Shawn Yue..if you like action-packed movie, i guess you will like this show.. there are alot of fighting scene in this show.. with good story line and touching scene (in terms of brotherhood) as well..

hohoho.. let me start with last saturday then.. done a new manicure... coz i got a wedding dinner at nite... that is our company lovely uncle Tan's boy getting married... Congrats to Thomas & Joanne...

Their dinner was held at Dragon's Gate Restaurant at Harbourfront there.. woah.. there are alot of guests that nite.. i think at least 50 tables bah.. somemore they still hav a few entertainment programs such as the groom's friend singing on the stage.. and after that the newly wed couple was been sabo on the stage..

bt wat's more happening was at our table.. thanks to Wei Chong & Dernesse.. the 2 of them are our entertainers for the nite.. they were so funny.. lol...

i love this design v much.. lol

oh yeah.. finally is time for collection of my family and my individual protrait.. bt i feel i look v fat.. in actualy fact, i was fatter that time than now..lol..

bt overall, i still feel that this studio's photography skills + quality of the pictures is supreme.. worth the price.. this studio is called 'Da Da Studio' at Jurong west there..

yesterday i was on leave... after settling some issues, me and hubby headed to Town, as he promoised me that today is the day to fulfill one of my wishlist items.. and that is.. getting a new working bag for me... hurray...

we went to Coach, Gucci, Burberrys & LV.. initially the 1st ranking bag in my mind was the Neverfull series bag from LV.. bt when i go see again.. i feel i dun really like it that much.. and i dun feel that is that 'class' afterall.. then the salesgal introduce another new Damier design bag to us.. the bucket is all coated with gold.. v nice design.. only bad thing.. the base is quite thick and the strip is quite short.. so when u carry on yr shoulder, yr hand seems abit difficult to rest on the bag.. and this is quite costly - $1,470..

then we think thro of getting which design.. one thing abt LV is the strip is all brown leather.. then my hands are those sweaty palms.. then when touch the strip, it will turn dark brown/black.. so perhaps LV is not so suitable for me.. unless is Damier design when the finishing comes with dark leather..

so we headed back to Coach.. and decided to get a coach one instead.. this is a classic Coach Tote bag.. which is suitable for all functions.. and i like it to be BIG.. so that i can throw my barang barang inside.. lol... love it so much.. however, after i got this, i realise there are some stains on it so going down to Town today again for an exchange..

The Damage ---> $725 ..much cheaper than LV bag.. lol.. anyway I'm contented with this.. and the strip is in black.. so suits me.. hurray hurray...

went to jp with my sis on last thursday... on our way back we were chatting.. and guess what my sis told me?? she feel that I am v OLD.. coz of our topics cannot link.. GG? haha.. we are only 4 yrs apart...

she even said that her frd who is 25 yrs old this yr seems so much younger than me in terms of thinking.. *sad* bt after more understanding.. i hav a totally different concept and that is ---> I am not old, i am simply more matured.. and as I am the type of ambitious person and i always plan towards my goal in life...

for instance, at my current age of 24, we were not talking abt cheong, play etc.. i'm talking abt career prospect, marriage, car, housing with my fellow frens and colleagues.. it may be v difficult to let the younger generation to understand as they're at the age of 'playing'.. as for myself, i like the life that i lead.. we started to cheong at the age of 15 -> Canto, 16-17 -> Sparks & Boat Quay, 18-> Zouk, 19-> Ridleys, China Black, Devils' Bar, MS etc... i never regretted how i lead my life, as i am able to see more stuffs and understand more things.. after play for so long, is time to focus on my career and family life..

and when i talk abt career, not just as simple as having an ambition, i mean how to plan and attain your achievable goals in life.. i feel that everyone sld hav a dream of theirs.. and passion to live their dreams.. and plan to attain their dreams.. dun ever set idlealistic goals for yourself.. as ideal goals are great, bt if they're not practical, once u fall, u may never get up...

those person that i interact with are usually much older than me such as my CEO, HOD and managers.. and i got the chance to learn abt business strategy, marketing strategy etc.. me and my peers even hav business plan coming up for our joint venture business..

all of these sound so different from my sis and her frds.. as she is just a fresh poly grad, alot more to learn.. v naive instead.. and talking abt her 25 yrs old frd, i wil consider as a hopeless case, at the age of 25, she is still a sentosa part timer.. when u ask her wat's her ambition, she's not sure either.. life is not just - 'walk one step and count one step'..

just an advice for the younger ones, give it some serious thoughts for your future.. at the age of 20, you sld be able to know how to proceed from here.. find yr dreams and live yr dreams.. and once you found one, dun be afraid to go ahead.. sometimes u may hav setback, bt u hav to stand up yrself and continue yr run to the destination..

last saturday, me and dear went to Performance motor and C&C to view cars.. we were thinking to change car.. either to BMW 3 series, Mercedes New C-Class Avantgarde or Integra Type R..

if comparing BMW 3 series vs Mercedes New C-Class Avantgarde.. definitely is Mercedes will shine out if you have view the car before.. I am v impressed with the New C-Class introduced by Mercedes... V impressive of their technology...

However, we were thinking through seriously.. we will stick back to more sporty car.. and in future, when my dear become a uncle then buy more luxury car to enjoy.. now we are more into speed.. so we were thinking to change to Type R.. Hopefully our sale of our current car will be successful...

Yesterday - Sunday.. i stayed at home and watched little bride.. is consider as an older korean show.. bt i have missed the tv broadcasting previously.. so i'm watching the vcd which belongs to my frd... nice & funny show indeed..

then my dear come to pick my up ard 6pm.. we were heading to our new house to view the progress... and we jio veron & her hubby (eugene) to join us as well.. after viewing, we headed to Pasta Mania for dinner.. then to cold storage for some grocery...

after that, we headed to CD-Rama to source for some CD.. and i got my Zouk Mambo Jambo -The Phenomenon~! I love Zouk mambo Nite... this Cd reminds me of my younger years where zouk is my favourite hang out... OMG, i miss those days...

then we saw a Yoga cd which seems not bad.. so we asked the sales personnel to play it for us.. OMG, can you guys imagine wat the guys are doing? my dear & eugene were posing yoga posture in CD-Rama~! Me & veron was laughing so hard.. our conclusion - these guys cannot join us for yoga class.. i think is safer to join the class with veron only...

my dear was looking for 200 pounds beauty OST & Kenny G collection, while veron was looking for My Girl OST.. however, CD-Rama do not hav stock.. so we went to another music store called MJ Multimedia..

Dear managed to get his Kenny G collections and we bought SHE Play album also.. we played the Kenny G cd once we get on the car.. some of the tracks is spoilt lor.. yucks.. hav to go back for exchange... sianz...

overall, a great day for me... =)

this incident occurred on last 2 days - Wednesday...

ard 9am+, a teacher by the name of Ms cheng called me up..

Ms Cheng: Hi, is this Hanlin (My brother) 's mother?
Me: Nope, I'm his sister. May I know what is it pertaining to?
Ms Cheng: Hanlin did not come to school today. Do you know what happen?
Me: (shocked) huh, he did not went to school? well, i'm in office now, can i cal you back later after I contacted my mom?"
Ms Cheng: ok, sure.

dropped the phone.. i called my mom immediately and inform her of the news... my mom confirmed that my brother did went to school that morning..

then we tried to call & sms my brother.. bt no one ans.. we were so worried for me.. and i really mean - WORRIED....

i scare that he's into some fights.. or he got other problems then play truant.. bt funny thing is, even this is so, i believed my bro will still return my call as we are quite close...

keep calling bt no vail..

till 2pm+, my brother finally called me up...

My brother: wah piangz, I got go to school eh.. i'm in school now... y u all keep calling my hp?
Me: your teacher say u never go to school! call you also never ans.
My brother: today spot-check eh for hp eh.. i'm so worry that my hp will vibrate luckily i rem to off it.. u all keep calling.. alemak....
Me: so means today u in school lah... then y the teacher say u not in school..
My brother: this morning i got AVA duty, so i never attend the silent reading lor..
Me: maybe tat's y never mark your attendance...
My brother: ya lah.. i even attend my form teacher class for almost half a day wor...

that i feel so angry.. if the teacher is aware that my brother is in school, they sld take the initiative to call the parents/guardians that my bro is in sch.. so angry.. so i decided to act blur and call back the teacher to scold her..

Me: Hi ms cheng, sorry I cannot locate my brother. as he did not bring his hp to school one.. we can only wait for his return and can let u know..
(i waiting for her to say she already know my brother is in school.. to my surprise she said:-)
Ms cheng: oh is ok lah.. is just normal routine to call the parents.
Me: what do you mean by is ok? so means what? he is not in school?
Ms cheng: ya, i think so.

so i waited for my bro to leave the school and I called back.

Me: hi Ms cheng, FYI, my brother is in school for the whole day.
Ms Cheng: oh really. ok. means he is late for school?
Me: no, he had AVA duty this morning, perhaps this explains why he did not have his attendance marked.
Ms cheng: oh okok, thanks.
Me: In future, can you all please check properly before calling the parents? you have made us worried for the whole day for nothing. I am very disappointed.
you all sld checked properly 1st. even though after you have called us, if you all know that my brother is in sch, you all sld notify the parents immediately. appreciate if you all can look into this matter seriously as you have made us very worried for my brother.
Ms cheng: actually this attendance list is passed to us by the form teacher. we just called the parents.

Yesterday went to veron's hse for manicure session.. i did a v 'kua zhang' manicure.. while i did a pastel green one for Ting.. and help the bride to paste sticker for her... we worked so hard for - 07/07/07.. haha..

a sweet surprise from my hubby yesterday... we went to watch Transformer at GV Vivo Gold Class yesterday.. OMG... it was a heavenly pleasure to be served with good customers services... comfortable adjustable chairs and even blanket was provided... A table in between seats for our snacks...we've ordered nachos and their other finger foods.. not bad...

Of course, some pple may say, spending $30 per ticket is not worthwhile.. bt to me, i feel is worth the experience.. =)

My verdict for the show - 1 word to describe - AWESOME~! Must watch~!

Thank God is Weekend~!~!~!

hurray is Saturday... haha.. hmm.. started my day v early... we went to Grand Copthorne Waterfront hotel in the morning to meet up with the events executive for our ROM Solemnisation package... we were thinking to hold our Solemnisation at here... so we went and take a look of their function rooms, menu, package and etc..

later, around noon, we headed to Marriott hotel and met up with another lady to take a look of their package.. over here, is pool facing theme... however, we were thinking to invite ard 50-60 pax to our ROM, this place is slightly smaller & squeezy.. I will prefer Grand Copthorne Waterfront hotel instead.... and my dear say, i call the shots... haha

so the problem now is.. lunch or dinner? haha.. we will discuss abt this later then..

after that, we went to our new house to check out the latest development... woah.. alot of changes, man...

today i have made a v impt decision.. ie... I am tendering my resignation wef today.. thus, my last day of service will be on 6 June 2007.. Dear Envipure Colleagues, Thanks for all the guidance during my stay... =) it is my pleasure to work with you guys for the past 1 yr...

my immediate boss, my avp, has try to retained me... so is my CEO... both of them has talked to me for at least an hour each... they are considering to counter-offer me.. well, if they really do so, and promised to change my job scope.. i may re-consider to stay on as the main reasons for leaving are - Job Scope & Salary..

however, i guess it will be v diff for them to counter-offer me, as it will set a 'bad' example that ceo favor me etc... and others may think that if u wan a pay jump, resign then... anyway, see how it goes, bt i think i will be moving on instead.. to a new environment at tampines.. hopes watever my decision is.. no regrets..

went for facial session yesterday at Mayclaire.. actually is just a small beauty salon at Bukit Panjang... not bad.. worth considering to sign on the package... need to get my skin in top condition for my yr end ROM...

i am currently thinking on which package to sign:
1) Leonard Drake - Advanced Skin Brightening Treatment which cost $960 for 6 sessions... Focus on Ultra-sound treatment for treatment of skin cells.. Not sure whether the 20% off promotion still on or not.. Result wise- Trial once,therefore not much to comment... quite pampering experience, bt costs slightly on the high side.. abit xiong in maintaining long term wise..

2) Mayclaire -introduced by my boss, her skin glows~! so envy.. well is a hdb estate, in terms of facilities wise, of course is nt as advanced as Leonard drake.. bt the products quite suit me.. 2 packages to choose from:
a) $800 for 10 sessions of facial which includes Diamond Peel as well.. free one bottle of oil controlling serum..
b) $1288 for above + homecare products..
Results wise - as usual, 1st time trial, not much to comment, bt is more worth it than the 1st option.. furthermore, she still free eyes gel/mask and shaping of eyebrow service for me where I need to pay extra at Leonard Drake... and she is willing to let me pay in installment.. =)

which one u gals think more worthwhile leh? after consideration, i think i will choose option 2b bah.. seems to be a more worthwhile choice.. she also say... if i go facials + using her products can see results in 3 mths time.. hopefully is true bah.. hehe...

V hectic family day for me indeed.. went for my sis's graduation in the morning.. She has graduated from Diploma in Biomedical Science Course - Singapore Poly.. Congrats to her..

the session lasted for ard 2½ hr... she was super busy taking pis with her classmates after the session.. in the end, i only managed to take 1 pic with her.. while my mom only manged to take 3 pics with her..

ard 12pm, my mom and I left her school 1st.. as later on we need to attend my brother ' Meet the parent' session.. must attend so that I am aware of wat 'good' things my bro have done in school...

the teacher said he was a well-behaved boy in sch except for his appearance and attire such as:

1) long hair..

2) Pierce ear... and always wearing ear-stick (I keep quiet when the teacher talked abt this, as I am the one who brought my bro for piercing!)

3) ankle socks

haha.. good luck to my bro then.. hope he can 'amend' and be a good boy in sch.. in addition, the teacher tell us to keep a lookout for his frds...

then we returned home for a short rest.. afterthat we headed to Studio for phototaking.. this is a package that includes 1 family protrait and 1 my solo protrait with my sis wearing her robe and I wearing my ACCA robe.. hope the pics are nice.. will be going down this coming sat to choose the pics..

after that, we went for dinner... super tiring day for me...

feeling excited today... as we are going to Genting today. . i am going with my dear dear and his family.. we choose 5 Star as our agency.. taking their luxurious VIP Executive coach... v comfortable.. with spacious room, xbox, movies, massage chair, foot reflexology and etc..

as we booked this trip v last min, the agency only managed to book for us a nite stay at Resort hotel on the 26 nite.. heng ar, we managed to book a nite stay at the First World Hotel on the 25 nite...

overall is a wonderful trip.. although is a short getaway.. i am v contented.. lose some money at the jackpot, won some money from the tables - overall: a small windfall from the casino..hee

ps: sorry to u gals out there for nt attending BBQ at veron's hse on 26 May 2007.. v paiseh..

Today

went shopping with dear.. bt din managed to buy anything for myself, bt he managed to get 3 shirts... also went to Gucci, Coach, Burberry and LV boutique.. All got Sale except for LV~~!~!~!Spotted some bags that i like.. bt haven made up my mind which one to get... can only afford 1.. how i wish i can afford all..keke...

later, we headed to Supercut at Compasspoint.. Our hair-stylist told us that actually LV is having sale too! if you purchased through DBS Black Card, you are entitled to 10% off.. my hairstylist said that she has just bought a wallet cost 900+ been reduced to 800+.. woah so tempting... however, dear do not believe, so he place a bet with her (hairstylist) on whether is that such a sale.. So, we are going to verify this bet result on this coming sat... perhaps is time to realise one of my wish-list items... keke =)

hey hey.. finally back.. after several months of MIA... actually nt MIA.. is I am too busy to blog.. as my AVP was on maternity leave last few months, and i need to cover her duties as well + my routine work load- xiong eh... and everyday was to attend meetings and meetings..

1st of all... i will like to take this opportunity to say: Happy New Yr~! is a brand new yr.. hmm.. alot of things to start afresh ya... new yr, of course i hav new yr resolutions as well... hmm.. hopefully this yr i can succeed.. haha think my resolutions failed every yr for the past few yrs... since this yr is 'my' year - piggy yr.. i will work hard!!! jiayou~!

ok.. start with my terrible stocktake... my AVP is currently on maternity leave.. Congratulation to her~! on the arrival of cute little Aidan.. (baby boy) on 2nd Jan 2007..
since, she's on leave, i'm totally accounted for all Finance responsibilities - 1 word to describe - TOUGH! and i am responsible for stocktake solely (in Finance Dept)..

alrite. 3rd Jan 07, stocktake at main store.. consider quite heng.. coz i dun hav to be a checker myself.. (normally is a counter - the one who count & checker - the one who verify the count; both must signed on count tags).. my job was to bring the auditor from deloitte around the store and let him observe... heng.. all those he checked, those material ones, are tally with records.. thanks god...

the terrible experience is on the 4th Jan 07, where we conducted our stocktake at sites.. (stock @ customers' place).. due to shortage of manpower, I need to be a checker for Tech Site with Jusmine.. whereas the others sites are covered by my colleagues.. the entire Finance Dept are 'Closed' for the day..lolz... at there, we need to climb into the container store and check stuffs like tee, duct, reducer etc (sound technical ya? indeed technical) these are the materials used for our trade of biz.. sort of engineering - we provide facilities management services (more for semi-conductor industry; if you're interested, pls drop me a comment.. i will get my colleague to contact you...) so that day, we count and count with my 'black' counter, luckily he still can speak english.. ahbo sure faint.. bt my team progress quite slow, whereas Jusmine team is faster.. well she has 2 gd counters whereas mine is a newcomer who joined the day before stocktake.. nevertheless, i am still v grateful for his help tat day... we started from 9am till ard 4pm..it was indeed a damn hot afternoon.. sweating all the way man... tough work.. can't imagine i need to work at there... i suddenly feel so lucky that i can shake leg in office, enjoying aircon..hahah

after stocktake of the container store, we headed to Tech sites (interior) where we need our IC, helmet & google in order to access.. v tight-security place... thanks to our PE - Tony Wang.. who leaded us to walked a long distance from the container store to there.. when we reached there.. he then tell us that we need to brring our IC.. kaoz... piangz... win liao.. no choice lor.. have to U-turn with Jusmine to get our stuffs...

then when we pass our IC to the security, still kanna laughed by them.. say us xiao mei mei.. hey, they dunno tat now is 30 yrs old then can chg IC ya.. alemak.. nvm.. then we wore the stupid helmets & googles.. look kind of weird.. haha.. and go inside to stocktake other stuffs... hmm.. airconditioned place.. thus, nt so bad.. then finally I know wat my company is doing.. haha.. coz is very technical.. is v hard to visualise till u see it for yrself... terms like basebuilt, hookup, process vacuum, exhuast, safety shower etc.. i finally understood after listening to these terms for the last 6 months... quite a fruitful trip indeed...

special thanks to Bernard How for assisting me throughout this stocktake, afterall this is the 1st time I am doing... hopefully, the next yr will be a more successful one... (provided I am still with this co)... learned alot of things...

Takeshi Kaneshiro is so yandao.. haha.. is a detective show.. a show abt 'nei xin xi' (internal feelings show) by Tony Leung.. a good man on the surface bt a devil at the other side.. bt of course is due to some reason that he wanted to revenge (see it yrself~!).. bt is really scary that some pple can plot a revenge plan for 20yrs.. however, if given deeper thoughts, if someone is facing a similar situation as the character of Tony, that the curel truth is forcing him to jump off the cliff.. putting myself in his shoe, i might do the same.. dilemma decision.. bt that's hw a human behaves...always been trapped in a bottleneck...overall verdict - a long show, bt audience can already guess the ending.. no irony.. expected ending - only part that i dun like abt this show.. bt overall is still fine.. can go ahead and watch it if you like detective show, Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Takeshi Kaneshiro or Shu Qi ...

i was beat tired after the long day... a joyous day indeed... glad to hav such great frds around me....
